Scholarships are awarded biannually, May 31 and November 30. Normally, scholarships are to be applied to tuition and fees only. Applicants may also request a scholarship that includes the costs of travel and lodging if they can demonstrate need.
Corporations and businesses may contribute money to establish a scholarship fund restricted to their own employees. Such arrangements must be made through the office of the Vice president, The Buckley Foundation for Communications, or other individuals designated by the Foundation.

Applications for scholarships to be awarded on May 31 must be received no later than April 15. Applications for scholarships to be awarded November 30 must be received no later than October 15.
